Before snow thaws
Despite annual UK snow falls, when the white stuff finally comes the majority of the population still struggle to deal with it. Public transportation breaks down, road networks close or become heavily congested and schools shut.
In February 2009 the UK saw the biggest snow fall in nearly 20 years and the expected panic set in.
